How we collect, use and protect your personal data.
Last updated: 25 April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Wren’s Tipis Ltd, trading as Bowland Tipis (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our Website or get in touch with us about your wedding or event.
We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
We collect information you give us directly, mainly when you:
Depending on how you get in touch, this may include your name, email address, phone number, wedding or event date, guest numbers, and anything else you choose to tell us about your plans. If you book with us, we’ll also hold records relating to your contract, such as signed documents and payment status.
We’ll only ever send you marketing emails if you’ve opted in - for example by ticking a box on an enquiry form, or by telling us in person or over the phone that you’re happy to hear from us.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, so you can opt out whenever you like with one click. You can also just email or call us and we’ll update your preferences straight away. Opting out of marketing doesn’t affect any booking-related communication we need to send you.
If you book your wedding or event with us, our booking contract explains how we (and photographers or videographers engaged by you) may use images and footage from your day for promotional purposes, and how to opt out if you’d rather we didn’t.
We don’t sell your data, and we keep the list of people who can see it short:
Your data is stored securely and access is limited to people who need it to do their job. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect it from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
We keep enquiry data for as long as it’s useful to us and to you (for example, in case you get back in touch), and booking/contract records for as long as we’re legally required to (including for accounting purposes). If you’d like your data deleted sooner, just ask - see your rights below.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, just contact us using the details below.

Our Website isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
